All parents need to understand that schools have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children who are their pupils. This responsibility necessitates a child protection policy and procedures.

A school may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when concerns about a child’s welfare arise. Brainpoint Schools International has a child protection policy and a copy of the Lagos State Safeguarding Policy procedures which are available for parents to view.

The principal and the boarding house master are the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for child protection and they are happy to discuss any questions or concerns parents may have related to child protection policies and practice.
